A General Meeting of the Scottish Fair Trade Forum will be held inGlasgow City Chambers on Saturday February 2nd, 2008, 10.30-13.30.Registration will begin at 10.30 and those who wish to vote in theday's business will be able to join as Members on the day.

The agenda for this event will include:

  • Electing an Interim Board of Directors for an initial one-year term*
  • Discussing the Strategy for becoming a Fair Trade Nation
  • Hearing an update on Wales' Fair Trade Nation campaign

* Each Membership category will be able to elect up to three BoardMembers and Nominees are posted online. The process used for election is outlined here.

Membership categories and fees are as follows:

Student/Unwaged (no fee)
Individual (£1)
Small Businesses or Organisations (£10, 1-5 people)
Medium-sized Businesses or Organisations (£50, 6-10 people)
Large Businesses or Organisations (£150, 10+ people)

Membership fees are not meant to be restrictive, but will help supportadmin and volunteer costs in supporting local activity. Membership feesare part of our sustainability strategy, which is based on feedbackfrom potential members.
