April 2008

Hello all,

Attached (linked) is our April newsletter, which, once again, highlights some of the interesting and exciting Fair Trade-related activity going on in Scotland. Thanks again to our newsletter editor, Andrew Farquhar, who will soon be introducing regular features and, from time to time, an expanded format to allow room to talk about more of the great work many of you are doing. Please circulate our newsletter to your networks. It will also be available for download on our website, as always.

March 2008

Hello from the Scottish Fair Trade Forum!

I hope all of you were able to enjoy some of the many Fair Trade activities that took place round Scotland during Fairtrade Fortnight 2008 (Feb 25 - March 9).

It was good to see and speak with many of you as our Fairtrade tea producer guest from Kenya, Julius Ethang'atha, and I made a grand tour of Scotland during Fairtrade Fortnight. Julius was surprised and thrilled at the energy and commitment to Fair Trade he encountered in Scotland.

February 2008

February 25 marks the beginning of Fairtrade Fortnight 2008, during which there are scores of Fair Trade activities planned to take place around Scotland. Many of the events have been posted on our website and can be found under the 'Events' section at www.sftf.org.uk.

January 2008

Happy New Year from the Scottish Fair Trade Forum! We anticipate 2008 as a year of huge progress together toward Scotland's Fair Trade Nation criteria.

Please find attached the PDF of our January newsletter, which includes news about

Updates
Since its inception at a meeting in Perth in January 2007, the Scottish Fair Trade Forum has developed into a membership organisation that is supporting existing fair trade activity in Scotland, as well as helping drive Scotland toward becoming one of the world’s first Fair Trade Nations by attaining the Fair Trade Nation criteria established in 2005.
