Screening of the True Cost

As part of the Tannahill Threads Festival and in celebration of World Fair Trade Day, the Tannahill Centre in Paisley is showing the True Cost on Saturday 12 May 2018, 10am - 12pm.

For more information and sign up details, see the Eventbrite Page here

This is a free screening organised by the Tannahill Centre, the Renfrewshire Fair Trade group and the Scottish Fair Trade Forum.

In addition to the screening, Bunnak Norm, a WFTO producer from Cambodia, will speak about how her company focusses on training women to generate income and have sustainable livelihoods through WFTO Guaranteed Fair Trade handicrafts.

The True Cost is a "groundbreaking documentary which pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing? Filmed in countries all over the world, from the brightest runways to the darkest slums, and featuring interviews with the world’s leading influencers including Stella McCartney, Livia Firth, Vandana Shiva and many more, The True Cost is an unprecedented project that invites us on an eye-opening journey into the lives of the many people and places behind our clothes."
