Scottish Fair Trade Award Nominations 2019 Now Open!

It's time to put forward your nominations for the Fair Trade Awards 2019

Each year the Scottish Fair Trade Forum hosts the annual Fair Trade Awards, which recognise individuals, groups, organisations and campaigns that have had a significant impact on Fair Trade in Scotland throughout the year. The format of the ceremony is dynamic and changing each year: in previous years, the ceremony has included talks from visiting producers, opportunities for attendees to provide feedback on Fair Trade in Scotland and an exhibition launch.

There are so many amazing Fair Trade activities and campaigns happening around Scotland each year: if you believe you know a certain individual, group or organisation you think deserves recognition, please send us your nomination using this form. You can nominate as many individuals, groups or organisations as you like, in as many categories as you like. Here are the categories:

Volunteer of the Year Award: Any volunteer who has shown outstanding commitment to Fair Trade over the past year

Community Award: Any individual, group or organisation (eg faith group, school, business or community) that has done exceptional campaigning for Fair Trade in their community

Innovation Award: Any individual, group or organisation that has created an innovative campaign or taken a new approach to campaigning for Fair Trade

Campaign of the Year Award: Any campaign carried out in the past 12 months which has made a significant contribution to Fair Trade

Fair Trade and Climate Change Award Any project which raises awareness of the links between Fair Trade and combatting climate change or any individual who has worked towards raising awareness of these links.

Outstanding Achievement Award: Any individual, group or organisation that has demonstrated consistent outstanding commitment to Fair Trade and continually made significant achievements through Fair Trade campaigning

Submit your nominations by Friday 25 October 2019 using the Nomination Form.

The Award Ceremony will take place on Monday 18th November at Scotmid's Headquarters in Edinburgh.
