Fairtrade Fortnight - Schools conference

As part of Fairtrade Fortnight the Scottish Fairtrade Forum, with the help and support of other organisations, arranged a schools event to help promote Fair Trade to young people. At this event Pamela L'Intelligent, a visiting Fair Trade producer from Craft Aid (Mauritius), spoke around 600 primary and secondary school pupils about the positive impact Fair Trade has had on her life.

The Lord Provost of Glasgow, Sadie Docherty, and the Scottish Minister for Europe and International Development, Humza Yousaf, also spoke at the event. They highlighted the good that Fair Trade can have, as well as acknowledging the hard work the people of Scotland have put in to support Fair Trade.
