The 2019 International Fair Trade Towns Conference will take place in Cardiff from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 October. Register here.
We are encouraging Fair Trade groups in Scotland to send a representative to the conference. The deadline for conference support grant applications has now passed.
Tell the world about your Fair Trade Town/group!
We are also encouraging groups to make posters for display at the conference to share ideas, best practice and challenges with other Fair Trade groups from around the world.
This poster opportunity is also a great way to advertise milestones in your campaign and to connect to other Fair Trade groups from around the world.
The posters will be displayed in an "interactive zone" in the conference which will be manned by SFTF members of staff and members of your group if they can attend.
Keep in mind the audience when designing your poster. The audience will mainly be:
Representatives from other Fair Trade towns groups across the world.
Representatives of national coordinating bodies e.g. the counterparts of the Scottish Fair Trade Forum.
How to make a poster
Send us photos with some short pieces of text explaining key milestones in your Fair Trade journey, and we'll collate the poster for you.
Download this A1 template or make your own by setting up your Word or Powerpoint document in A1 page size.
Edit by inserting relevant text and images. Try to keep text to a minimum and use lots of images. Feel free to change the format - you don't necessarily need to structure your poster around the five goals.
If you’re attending the conference, arrange printing at a local printer and transport the poster yourself. Posters should be printed in A1 size.
If you’re not attending the conference, send the poster to reach us at Robertson House in Glasgow by Monday 14 October 2019 and we’ll arrange transport. Please post to:
