Did you know that there are 13 Fairtrade producer countries in this year's World Cup? In celebration of this, why not host a Fair Trade football event? This is a great way to explore Fair Trade in current events and get excited for the 2018 World Cup which runs from 14 June to 15 July.
All of the resources and downloads mentioned in the instructions below are courtesy of "Fair Trade in Football" and can also be found on their website.
Start off with a draw to select the fixtures for each tournament.
Download the Fairtrade producer country images. Cut them out.
Download and add your team/school name to the blank balls. Cut them out.
Make two draw boxes.
Place the Fairtrade Producer Countries name in one box and your team/school names in the other box.
Download and print off the draw results list.
Take one Fairtrade ball image from each box, matching the team/school with a Fairtrade Producer Country until all of the schools/teams are matched with a country. Write the results on the draw list.
Depending on your number of teams - form groups for the teams to play in - you can form your own groups as required.
Teams then play as that country and learn about Fair Trade in that country

Download Scottish Fair Trade Forum certificates here.
Schools and groups can also get involved by producing Fair Trade producer profiles for each team. These profiles could be displays, posters, banners, flags or Powerpoint Presentations- the more creative, the better!
The profile can consider aspects such as:
the Fairtrade certified products from the chosen country;
the impact of Fair Trade;
what your school or group does to promote Fair Trade.
We’ll be featuring Fairtrade producer countries on our social media in the lead up to the start of the World Cup in June.
We’d love to include the activities of schools and groups to highlight Fair Trade during the World Cup.
Take a picture of your displays, along with the school or groups name and send them to email@example.com to be featured.
