During Fairtrade Fortnight 2015 the Scottish Fair Trade Forum announced it will be running a competition for schools over the coming year. Primary and Secondary School students will be given an opportunity to design a Fair Trade hoodie around the theme of Fairtrade cotton. The winning designs will be manufactured and printed by Craft Aid (Mauritius) and Koolskools and presented to the winners during Fairtrade Fortnight 2016.
The competition will have entries from both primary and secondary schools allowing three winning designs from each. The Forum will be sending out entry packs by the middle of April and will inform campaigners via the newsletter and social media.
The closing date for entries will be Monday 31st August 2015 so make sure to get your designs in before then. The judging will take place during September and will be conducted by representatives from the Scottish Fair Trade Forum, Koolskools and Craft Aid (Mauritius). The winning designs will then be sent to Koolskools by the end of September and will be manufactured by Craft Aid over the following months.
In January 2016 we will be notifying the winners that their designs are being printed onto hoodies which will be presented to them during Fairtrade Fortnight 2016.
We look forward to seeing all the designs that come in.
