Fairtrade Fortnight might be over but the campaign for living incomes for cocoa farmers continues.
In West Africa, cocoa farmers are currently living on less than 74 pence a day whereas they would need £1.86 to achieve a living income.
A living income will provide cocoa farmers in developing countries, and women in particular, with the personal dignity they deserve and more financial stability to be able to afford schools, medicine and clothing for themselves and their children.
Part of the campaign is a petition asking the Prime Minister and the Government to make international trade deals work for everyone and help reduce the exploitation of cocoa farmers.
