Scottish Fair Trade Forum AGM & Board Vacancies

National Campaigner Committee (NCC) Vacancy and Election
The election of the Scotland representative to the Fairtrade Foundation's National Campaigner Committee (NCC) will take place at this year's conference.
What is the NCC?
The National Campaigner Committee is a group of elected Fairtrade campaigners who represent a region of the UK. It is a member organisation of the Fairtrade Foundation, with voting rights and responsibilities, and is represented at the annual general meeting. Members feed into Fairtrade campaign development, and provide a voice for campaigners, so that they have a say in the Fairtrade Foundation’s strategy and planning. The NCC also informs the Foundation about what campaigners need and what their priorities are.
We're looking for someone to represent Scotland on the Committee as our current representative's three-year term comes to an end in September. Representatives act as a link between Fairtrade groups in Scotland and the Foundation. Any members of Fairtrade campaign groups registered with the Fairtrade Foundation (Towns, Schools, Universities and Faith communities) are eligible to stand for election to the NCC.
Attending NCC meetings held at the Foundation's head office in London and occasionally via teleconference. Travel expenses are covered.
Sharing summaries of these meetings with the Scottish Fair Trade Forum to be distributed to campaigners via our newsletter.
If you are interested in standing for election to the committee or nominating someone else, please complete the very simple nomination process and form on this page and submit to the Fairtrade Foundation by Friday 23 August 2019.
