The Scottish Fair Trade Forum has undertaken a piece of research work analysing the supply and demand elements of the Fair Trade Market in Scotland.
This report provides an overview of the current state of the Fair Trade market in Scotland in terms of supply (the main suppliers, their size and their commitment to Fair Trade) and demand (current and predicted purchasing habits and potential gaps in the market). The information is intended to give the Forum and other stakeholders ideas on how to develop the Fair Trade market in Scotland.
The findings are based on the results of consumer polling commissioned by the Forum, a survey distributed to Fair Trade suppliers based in Scotland and information published online about food market and consumer trends.
