Procurement

One of the key ways for local authorities to support sustainable    development is through procuring fairly traded products.

Including Fair Trade principles in all stages of procurement  procedures reflects a changing understanding of ‘value for  money,' procures quality products that make a difference to the  lives of communities in developing countries, and follows a  growing precedent that can be improved upon.
