Ayr became a Fairtrade town in 2007 and has supported FT initiatives effectively since, through local schools, retailers and catering outlets. And at bigger events, such as Flower show, Holy fair and schools conferences.

Clober Primary School is in Milngavie. It’s a vibrant, happy place. We recently received our Fair Aware Award and have been involved in promoting Fair Trade values for the last 8 years.
Cupar (in Fife) became a Fairtrade Town in June 2007. We work with Cupar’s schools, churches, shops, cafés and local Council to sell fairtrade products and support and promote fair trade.

South Ayrshire became a Fairtrade zone in March 2018, bringing together the work of three SAC towns, Ayr, Prestwick and Troon. The committee actively seek to promote and encourage the principles of Fairtrade authority wide.
