31st March 2021 5:30 pm
To celebrate the end of another remarkable chapter of Challenges’ Scottish Government-supported Rwanda Coffee Project, we would like to invite those within the hospitality sector to our special virtual evening of tasting and discovery of specialty Rwandan coffee beans.
Have a sample on us! Simply enter the name of your organisation and your address on the next page to get your free 200g specialty ground coffee sample. Once our supplies are gone, they’re gone. So be quick to register!
We are excited to be joined by James Faddes of Glesga Roasters who will ‘cup’ and talk us through the specialities of the delicious Sholi Rwandan Coffee.
This event isn’t just about experiencing some amazing coffee though. It’s about the farmers and Fairtrade coffee co-ops who have used specialty coffee growing as a means to heal their communities after genocide ripped the country apart 25 years ago.
They’re about meeting the coffee farmers, industry experts and social entrepreneurs who have collaborated on a life-changing project that’s forging links between the hills of Rwanda and the coffee shops of Scotland.
Our special guests will be:
- Aimable Nshimiye, Managing Director of the Sholi Coffee Cooperative
- James Faddes, Glesga Roasters
- Neil Walker, Manager at The Challenges Group & Project Lead of the ‘Rwanda Coffee Project‘
- Maire Reier, Sustainable Harvest Coffee Importers
As origin stories go, the proåvenance of Rwandan coffee doesn’t get much stronger. We hope you can join us for an evening of tasting and discovery. We have some fantastic project short films for you to check out below too!
Important information about the free coffee samples:
We can only send samples to addresses in the UK and have a limited number available. We also unfortunately cannot guarantee any registrants who sign up after 17:00 on 26th March will receive their coffee in time for the event. Attendance is fully welcome regardless.
